Deputy state fire marshal Mark Germain stated last week that the investigation into the Carlsona Beach Supper Club fire on April 26 “is still on going.” The investigation of TJ’s on the Lake is not finished yet either, he added. According to Doug Pearson of the Aitkin County Planning and Zoning Department, there has been some inquiries into the necessary permits to build a new restaurant.
Ron Wise, owner of the Carlson Beach Supper Club, said there are “plans to rebuild the restaurant with the same architectural elements of the old building.” The only difference is that the lake view table area will be expanded, he added.
